A few years back, a friend of mine got me going to the Vera Bradley Outlet sale in Fort Wayne. It was extremely overwhelming that year, but they have gotten better at crowd control. Anyway, I thought it was good to support a local business. Then, I somebody else pointed out to me that the bags are not actually made in the United States! Apparently, a couple of things are still made here, but all of the bags I have ever bought, in addition to most of their other bags, are, in fact, made in China. The economy has gotten to everybody, and it is cheaper out outsource a brand that is supposed to be an icon brand in the U.S.
Don't get me wrong, I'll still go to the sale because everybody likes a good deal!
